They are widely sought after due to their extremely blue abdomen which starts to change color as they go from spiderling to juveniles. These fossorial tarantula are very hardy and live a very long and healthy life with females outliving the males and full grown adults reaching a size of about 5 inches in length.

Pseudhapalopus sp. "blue" is a dwarf species. They don't get large at all. Maybe 2"-3" max, from what I understand. I purchased three slings for myself just a few months ago, and they are still just 1/4" in size. Very slow growers. You'll want to keep yours in a very small portion cup or vial for quite a while until it gets to around an inch in.

I am concerned on whether I am doing the husbandry right. Though I set mine up with pre-made burrows under some cork bark, they never seem to burrow.

He (assuming) arrived August 12, 2020 at about 1/8 inch. He's currently about 1 and 3/4 inch and has full adult colors, all shiny gold and purple. Always digging, definitely fossorial but tends to wander around in the early morning hours, and a very good little hunter.
